Any trip to Rhodes should be complimented to a trip to Symi, a gorgeous island with truly picturesque details and home of the stunning Panormitis Church. The Church is built in the Venetian style, has 18th century origins and is dedicated to the Archangel Michael (both the patron saint of Symi island, who also protects sailors). Unfortunately, I was a little more than devastated when we arrived by ferry at how much of the bell tower was covered in scaffolding, but that did not stop us from exploring the area for some scenic sites. One combination that I am constantly a complete sucker for, is the gorgeous pink flowers against white that you find all over the Greek islands.
On the bucket list – to visit again when the Panormitis Church is easily seen in its full glory. Nonetheless, the little alleyways and courtyards were really beautiful and made for some nice photos!
